Anti-war media activist shares 14-point US-Iran MOU
from the Institute for Public Accuracy
Dave DeCamp reports, “Al Arabiya Publishes 14-Point Draft of U.S.-Iran MoU.” According to this text, the first point includes a declaration that the U.S. and Iran “will refrain from the threat or use of force against each other.”
But Trump just said: “It’s a memorandum of understanding. And if I don’t like it, we’ll go back to shooting at them, dropping bombs on their head.”
DeCamp reports in “Iran Warns of Response Over Israel’s Lebanon War” that the Iranian military “headquarters said in a statement that Israel has violated the ceasefire deal between the U.S. and Iran, which calls for an end to Israel’s war in Lebanon, 84 times over the past two days, and that Israel had been continuing ‘crimes and the killing of the oppressed people of Lebanon.’”
AntiWar.com reports in a separate story: “Israeli Drone Strikes Kill at Least Four Across Southern Lebanon.”
DeCamp reports: “President Trump on Tuesday suggested that Syria, which is led by former al-Qaeda commander Ahmed al-Sharaa, should ‘take care’ of Hezbollah in Lebanon rather than Israel.
“The president said he was ‘not happy’ with Israel’s war in Lebanon, which has been supported by the U.S., due to the tactic of taking out entire apartment buildings, though his Pentagon employed similar tactics in Yemen and was responsible for major civilian casualties in Iran, most notably the bombing of the elementary school in Minab.”
Dave DeCamp is news editor of AntiWar.com and host of “Anti-war News with Dave DeCamp” — a daily summary of news developments. His most recent show is “Iran Warns of Response to Israel’s Lebanon War / Trump: Syria Should Take Care of Hezbollah, and More.”
