Amy Goodman movie playing at Metro Cinemas through May 14

KEPW is celebrating the 30-year anniversary of 'Democracy Now' by watching the documentary 'Steal This Story, Please,' at the Metro Cinemas in downtown Eugene.

The film ‘Steal This Story, Please,’ showing across the country—including here in Eugene at the Broadway Metro Cinema (Metro-Cinemas.com)—celebrates the 30-year anniversary of Amy Goodman’s ‘Democracy Now’ daily news program running on both TV and on progressive radio stations across the country.

It will run through Thursday, May 14 (that’s this Thursday) with multiple showings daily. It’s $8 a pop.

This fun and very informative film is well worth the small cost. I saw it last week and was amazed at all the elected and unelected scumbags that were in it. I guess I had forced myself to forget all those guys and all the c— they were pushing on us.

There was also some history of how she brought in new folks who are now very important news people in their own rights. Amazing. And then there is her history of her family dynamics and origins. Who knew? See it.
