Services, dinner, celebration of Ibrahim Coulibaly Aug. 28-29

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Ibrahim Coulibaly, a valued member of our community, colleague, leader, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend.

Ibrahim dedicated much of his life to community, civil rights, and justice. Here in Oregon, his work included serving as a civil rights investigator with the Oregon Bureau of Labor and as president of the Western Region African American Caucus of the SEIU Union. He was also a former president of the Eugene/Springfield NAACP.

We are grateful that Ibrahim shared some of his time, wisdom, and presence with Black Cultural Initiative and the People’s Collective. We extend our love and deepest condolences to his children, his mother and father, his brothers and family in Burkina Faso, and the many friends, colleagues, and community members who loved him.

You will be missed, Ibrahim. Rest in power.

Services will be held Aug. 28–29 in Eugene, with burial services and dinner on Friday and a Celebration of Life on Saturday.
