Pedestrian killed in hit-and-run; Land Rover sought
A vehicle described as a 2006-2009 light-colored Land Rover allegedly struck and killed a pedestrian near West 7th and Van Buren, then fled the scene .
A 17-year-old male pedestrian was killed Sunday night near West 7th Avenue and Van Buren Street. Eugene Police responded to the fatal hit-and-run pedestrian-vehicle crash Jan. 8 at 9:18 p.m.
The vehicle, which left the scene, is described as a 2006-2009 light-colored Land Rover.
Eugene Police is withholding the identity of the deceased pedestrian to give the family time to notify other relatives and their circle of friends.
Eugene Police Major Collision Investigation team responded to the scene and is continuing to investigate the case.
