Council selects 3 to interview for Ward 7 seat
Carol Zorn, Janet Ayres, and Lyndsie Leech will interview for the vacant Ward 7 position on the Eugene City Council Dec. 5.
The Eugene City Council selected three applicants to interview for the vacant seat representing Ward 7.
In the first round of balloting, councilors indicated whether they wished to interview the applicant. Those receiving more than four of the seven votes continued to formal interviews.
Carol Zorn, Janet Ayres, and Lyndsie Leech drew interest from six councilors, and will participate in the formal interviews Monday, Dec. 5, at 5:30 p.m.
The Ward 7 position has been empty since early October, when election officials certified the recall of Claire Syrett.
