Eugene Police responded Nov. 13 at 6:25 a.m. to reports of two vehicles driving the wrong way in the eastbound lanes of Beltline at Northwest Expressway.

EPD officers quickly located the vehicles and occupants, who had parked in a driveway in the 2400 block of Prairie Road.

One of the occupants was a 17-year-old female, and the other was a 19-year-old female, later identified as Joslin Paepaeloa Leata, of Springfield.

After an investigation, officers found the two drivers had been drinking in front of some houses and when they went to leave, Leata had followed the 17-year-old, honking her horn to help steer her in the right direction.

Both drivers were found to be intoxicated and were arrested. The 17-year-old was charged with DUII and Minor in Possession and released to a parent. Leata was taken to the Lane County Jail on charges of DUII, Reckless Driving, Driving While Suspended, Minor in Possession Liquor.
