One week left to apply for Ward 7 council seat

Eugene community members living within the boundaries of Ward 7 have one more week to apply for the Ward 7 interim city councilor position.

Eugene community members living within the boundaries of Ward 7 have one more week to apply for the Ward 7 interim city councilor position.

The application deadline is 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2022.

Applicants must be a legal elector under the laws and constitution of the state and be a resident of Eugene for one year immediately before being appointed to office. Interviews with the Eugene city council will be scheduled in early December.

The interim appointment will be made in December 2022 and the person appointed will serve until a successor, duly elected in May of 2023, takes office in July of 2023. The successor, elected in May of 2023, will serve out the remainder of the current City Council, Ward 7 term (January 2021- January 2025).

  • Lyndsie Leech (Oct. 26)
  • Marlene Pearson (Oct. 21)
  • Stephanie Dugger (Oct. 17)
  • Carol Zorn (Oct. 13)
  • Daniel Takamori (Oct. 9)
